Beer Carpet Stain

HOW TO REMOVE a BEER SPOT and STAIN from CARPETS, RUGS and UPHOLSTERY

TOOLS NEEDED to REMOVE BEER STAIN from CARPET:

CHEMICAL AGENTS NEEDED:

PROCEDURE TO REMOVE BEER from Carpets and Rugs:

  1. Absorb.
  2. If large quantity, have customer leave moist weighted white towel(s) on spill overnight before attempting removal.
  3. Mix Pro-Zyme according to directions on bottle.
  4. Apply Pro-Zyme solution to stained fibers to thoroughly wet fibers.
  5. Gently but thoroughly agitate fibers to break up and emulsify deposit. Dwell time will help the biochemistry work for you here.
  6. Thoroughly rinse via water extraction leaving carpet as dry as possible (do not use an acid rinsing agent here).
  7. If extremely heavy and in the carpet pad, use the Water Claw® Sub-Surface Spot Lifter Sub-Surface Spot Lifter to more thoroughly flush out the spill.
  8. To prevent wicking, heavily sprinkle Stain Blotter on area to absorb any material that wicks up.
  9. When spot is completely dry, vacuum thoroughly - the customer can vacuum the next day.

PRECAUTIONS:

  • Do not use high temperature cleaning or heat activated stain removal procedures on these types of stains.
  • Also, you may experience wicking on heavier deposits. If deposit is heavy enough to have soaked through backing and into pad, replace the contaminated pad and clean carpet backing as outlined in Steps 1 through 5 above.

TIP: Stain 1 will make most re-occurring stains disappear.
