Baby Food Carpet Stain Removal
Baby Food and Baby Formula Spot & Stain Removal from Carpet
NOTE: This method should work on all types of baby food, including carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, peas, pears, apples, meat, and so on. Nearly all jarred baby food is protein based.
Follow These Steps to Successfully Remove the Baby Food Stain from Carpet:
If the spill is large, have your customer scrape up as much as possible and leave moist weighted towel on spill overnight before attempting removal. This will greatly improve the likelihood of removal.
- Scrape or remove the baby food spilled on the carpet as soon as possible.
- Since most baby food contains a lot of protein, enzyme-based cleaners such as Pro-Zyme Heavy Soil & Grease Digester by Pro’s Choice are very effective, but they require extra time to break down the proteins.
- Blot with APS™ All Purpose Spotter or Perky®, rinse and dry.
- Prespray with Pro-Zyme, agitate and thoroughly extract the area.
- If any stain remains, use Stain Magic®. If the carpet or rug is wool, use Stain Magic for Wool.
- To prevent wicking, heavily sprinkle Stain Blotter on area to absorb any material that wicks up.
- The customer can vacuum up the Stain Blotter the next day.
