CLEAN HANDS HYGIENIC SPRAY HAND SANITIZER
This spray contains 70% alcohol which exceeds the CDC’s recommendation for a hand sanitizer.
This is not a replacement for hand washing but is used to improve hygiene in between washings.
For optimal hygiene, simply spray on hands, rub together to thoroughly cover skin surface and wipe off soil. Then mist on and allow to air dry.
The coronavirus has an envelope structure which alcohol can attack. Hand Sanitizers with more than 60% alcohol content are most effective at killing microbes.
Alcohol attacks and destroys the envelope protein that surrounds viruses, including coronavirus.
This protein is vital for a virus’ survival and multiplication. Once again, a Hand Sanitizer needs to be at least 60% alcohol in order to kill most viruses. Of course, hand washing is more effective than Hand Sanitizers.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), states on their web site: “Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based Hand Sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.”
Many people just apply a little Hand Sanitizer, rub for a second or two and go about their business. But that’s actually not the correct way to use the Hand Sanitizer.
The CDC specifically recommends putting Hand Sanitizer on your hands, thoroughly covering them and then rubbing them together until they are dry, which will likely take 20 seconds.
