You don't need to remove the hose fittings from the pump.

Remove the 8 screws on the back of the suction housing (#20500) on the intake side, using a long, slender screwdriver. Slide the suction housing back from the main pump body (#20490) and remove the stator (#20510) from the rotor (#20590) shaft with a counter-clockwise motion.

Insert the support ring (#20520) into the new stator (see the diagram in your pump manual). Thread the stator onto the rotor shaft clockwise until it seats into the receiving recess of the main pump body.

The stator edge forms its own gasket, so no separate gasket is needed.

Slide the suction housing over the stator and replace the 8 screws. Tighten them in an alternating pattern, like lug nuts on a car wheel, bringing the housing into contact with the pump body as evenly as possible. Excess pressure on one side will cause the housing to bind and crack the casting.

Replace the Pump Seal or Bearings

Remove the pump from the machine.

Remove the screws holding the suction housing (#20500) to the pump body (#20490).
