Follow These Steps to Remove Worcestershire Sauce from Carpet:
The ingredients of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce are malt vinegar (from barley), spirit vinegar, molasses, sugar, salt, anchovies, tamarind extract, onions, garlic, spice and flavoring. The “spice, and flavoring” is believed to include cloves, soy sauce, lemons, pickles and peppers.
- Scrape up and absorb as much as possible.
- Blot with Saf-T-Solv™ Dry Volatile Solvent Spotter and allow to dry.
- Apply Pro-Zyme Heavy Soil & Grease Digester solution heavily
- Agitate with a Carpet Shark Spotting Tool and allow at least 1/2 hour for the enzyme/bacteria action to work.
- Extraction clean the area.
- If extremely heavy, use the Water Claw® Sub-Surface Spot Lifter to more thoroughly flush out the spill.
- To prevent wicking, heavily sprinkle Stain Blotter Anti-Wicking Absorbent Powder on area to absorb any material that wicks up.
- The customer can vacuum up the Stain Blotter the next day.
- Stain removal may require the use of Stain Magic® 2-Part Stain Remover for Organic and Natural Stains.
