Varnish on Carpet - How to Remove
Follow these Steps to Remove Varnish from Carpet:
If the Varnish on the carpet is still wet:
- Blot up as much of the paint as possible with a dry towel.
- Blot with Saf-T-Solv™ Dry Volatile Solvent Spotterf.
- Thoroughly extract the carpet and dry.
- Apply a bead of the Pro-Solve Gel Thickened Solvent-Based Spot & Stain Remover to the area to be treated
- Agitate with your Carpet Shark Spotting Tool.
- Apply a bead of Power Gel.
- Agitate.
- Extraction clean the carpet area.
- NOTE: Some varnishes, especially if left on the carpet too long, will not come up with normal spotters and solvents.
- In that case, if the varnish is on the tips of some of the fibers, remove just the varnish on the tips with the Duckbill Napping Shears.
- If the varnish is in a larger area or beyond just the tips of the fibers, replace the affected carpet using the Cookie Cutter Professional Carpet Repair Kit
