Varnish on Carpet - How to Remove

Follow these Steps to Remove Varnish from Carpet:

If the Varnish on the carpet is still wet:

  1. Blot up as much of the paint as possible with a dry towel.
  2. Blot with Saf-T-Solv™ Dry Volatile Solvent Spotterf.
  3. Thoroughly extract the carpet and dry.
  4. Apply a bead of the Pro-Solve Gel Thickened Solvent-Based Spot & Stain Remover to the area to be treated
  5. Agitate with your Carpet Shark Spotting Tool.
  6. Apply a bead of Power Gel.
  7. Agitate.
  8. Extraction clean the carpet area.
  9. NOTE: Some varnishes, especially if left on the carpet too long, will not come up with normal spotters and solvents.
  10. In that case, if the varnish is on the tips of some of the fibers, remove just the varnish on the tips with the Duckbill Napping Shears.
  11. If the varnish is in a larger area or beyond just the tips of the fibers, replace the affected carpet using the Cookie Cutter Professional Carpet Repair Kit
