Vacuum Gear Oil Lube for Bane-Clene Vacuum Pumps
Vacuum Gear Oil Lube
Vacuum Gear Lube is a lubricant for Vacuum Pumps/Blowers, a blend of mineral oils to fulfill the oil lubrication requirements for Bane-Clene positive displacement blowers.
Instructions and Directions for Base Unite & Ultra-Port® Maintenance Lubrication of Vacuum Pump:
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not overfill, as this will tend to cause excessive heating of the gears and may damage the unit.
- At the gear end the timing gear teeth are lubricated by being partially submerged. The gear teeth serve as oil slingers for gear end bearings. At the drive end, the bearings are grease lubricated.
- Filling Procedure:
- Remove square head oil fill plug (B) on gear end.
- Remove oil level plug (H) located at the end of gear case. Fill gear case until oil drips out of the oil level hole.
- Use Bane-Clene Vacuum Gear Lube.
- Add fresh oil as required to maintain proper oil level.
- Normally, the gear case should be drained, flushed and refilled every 500 hours or more frequently if inspection indicates it is necessary. The oil drain plug is located at point (A).
- Bearings on drive end of blower require grease lubrication every 500 hours of operation.
- Bearings, which require grease lubrication, will have a grease fitting (C) at each bearing.
- When regreasing, the old grease will be forced out of the vents during operation.
- To prevent damage to seals, these vents must be kept open at all times.
- WARNING: Do not overfill, as this will tend to cause excessive heating of the gears and may damage the unit. Approximately, 1/4 pint.
- NOTE: Vacuum Gear Lube is not the same as Vac-U-Lube.
