Wood Floor Restoration Testimonials from Bane-Clene Customers

Customers’ Testimonials about the Wood-Solv™ Wood Floor Restoration Program

Hi Don Terry and All at Bane,

“I have been doing pretty well with the wood floors. I took the class in April of 2010 and just wanted to show you a job I did last week. We took up the carpet in this one room and the floor was black. I wasn’t sure how embedded in the floor it was so I did a demo with a Scotch-Brite® pad and with a little elbow grease it looked good. I went back a week later to do the job and took some pictures as we were going along. Notice in the before pictures we abraded & cleaned a portion of the floor with Wood-Solv™ Prep and a black stripping pad.

Wood Floor Before Refinishing

When it was all ready to go we applied 3 coats of Wood-Solv Wood Satin Floor Finish.

The client was sooooo happy and so were we.

This is by far the worst economy I have seen since I began my business in the early 1980’s. Adding the wood recoating and stone cleaning has definitely helped my business stay above water.

Thank You”

Don Terry,

“I talked to you a couple of times on the phone about an upcoming wood job after I took your Wood-Solv™ class.

I did my first Wood-Solv job Monday and just wanted to let you know that your class was very, very helpful.

I learned a lot and my first job Monday went very well and the floor looked beautiful. I am still in awe on how the floor came out. It looked like a brand new floor and the customer was ecstatic and very happy not only with the floor but also with the “no-mess” part. It was a perfect job - 420 square feet in a 30-year-old house.

It’s interesting how I got the job. I was recommended to her for cleaning her rugs. As I was rolling up the rugs to take back to my plant to clean, she remarked, “I wish I could do something with this ugly wood floor. I had it sanded and refinished many years ago but it was such a mess that it isn’t worthwhile. I told that I not only could do the wood floors, but sanding and the mess would not be needed. She was surprised and said, ‘You mean you don’t need to take down the drapes and there’s no mess and no dust?’ I said ‘No, I just need to move the furniture out before doing the job’”.

Well, I did the floor and must say the floor was AWESOME! She said the floor looks better now than when she had them sanded! I took before and after pictures which I’m going to send to you. Unfortunately, I didn’t think to make the before and after pictures from the same angle.

Thanks again, Don, for all your help.”

Wood Floor BEFORE / AFTER Rx for Wood

Dear Mr. Terry,

“We are excited to present to you our first job with *Rx for Wood Floors. In October, Matt attended your institute to obtain training for *Rx for Wood Floors. He returned back full of knowledge and ready to get going!

Our first job, which are the pictures you see, was a Living Room about 12 x 12. The people just moved in and wanted to restore the floor but did not want to go through the whole process of having it sanded. The floor was pretty beat and once we had it all cleaned we thought maybe this floor should be sanded.

We first had to strip the floor of old wax; we then followed with Step 1 No-Sanding Prep Cleaner™. Once the cleaner was removed from the floor we then filled a couple of larger gouges along with carpet nail holes. We then put down 3 coats of the Semi-Gloss Wood-Solv Finish.

The floor turned out beautiful, actually better than we had expected. Our friends were more than pleased! A week later we restored their TV Room, which came out just as beautiful.

We do have one recommendation and that is to first get to know the process and the products at a place you feel comfortable. We have done a couple jobs since and we have gotten 30% faster and more efficient with the *Rx for Wood Floors process.

We have sent out and continue to send letters along with the *Rx for Wood Floors brochures to our current clients to inform them of our new service. While we are at a new client’s home we inform them of *Rx for Wood Floors as well. We have gotten great feedback! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or email us.

Sincerely,
David Buss

Wood Floor Refinished

Don,

“This is our first job with Rx for Wood floors. This is a 12 x 15 living room. Carpet was removed from the wood floor about two years ago and an area rug put down on only part of the floor.

We cleaned the floor with Step 1 No-Sanding Prep Cleaner™, filled the holes from the tackless strip around the edges of the room. We also had to repair several big gouges in the wood and several scratches. We then applied three coats of Step 3 Wood-Solv Finish.

We’ve made 500 advertising magnets and will be listing this new service in two different Yellow Pages books in our area which will be out in December.

We’ve also ordered the *Rx for Wood Floors brochures which we are mailing to our present customers.

We are very impressed and ready to take on the world.”
