Soy Sauce Stain on Carpet Removal

Follow These Steps to Remove Soy Sauce from Carpet:

Soy sauce ingredients include soybeans, water, salt, and sometimes wheat, depending on whether it's a brewed version. It sometimes contains preservatives, as well as artificial colors and flavors. Most soy sauces are brown to black in color, making the stains somewhat difficult to remove. It might be slightly easier to treat a stain caused by a light soy sauce.

  1. Scrape up and absorb as much as possible.
  2. Thoroughly extraction clean area.
  3. If any remains, blot with Saf-T-Solv™ Dry Volatile Solvent Spotter and allow to dry.
  4. Apply Pro-Zyme Heavy Soil & Grease Digester solution heavily, agitate with a Carpet Shark Spotting Tool and allow at least 1/2 hour for the enzyme/bacteria action to work.
  5. Extraction clean.
  6. If extremely heavy, use the Water Claw® Sub-Surface Spot Lifter to more thoroughly flush out the spill.
  7. To prevent wicking, heavily sprinkle Stain Blotter Anti-Wicking Absorbent Powder on area to absorb any material that wicks up.
  8. The customer can vacuum up the Stain Blotter the next day.
  9. Stain removal may require the use of Stain Magic® Stain Remover for Organic and Natural Stains.
