Photocopier Toner Removal from Carpet

How to remove photocopier toner from carpet

Follow these Steps to Remove Photocopier Toner from Carpet

It is EXTREMELY important that you NOT get this material wet initially!

  1. Vacuum very thoroughly, working from the outside toward the center to keep from spreading the material (no brush initially).
  2. Then vacuum with the brush or pile lift. Pile lifting is too aggressive on Frieze style carpet.
  3. Apply dilute solution (15:1) Power Gel to contaminated fibers.
  4. Using Carpet Shark, agitate treated area until contamination becomes suspended in foam.
  5. Dry extract (no water) foam.
  6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 until foam no longer colors from substance.
  7. Thoroughly hot water extraction rinse area to remove Power Gel solution.
  8. If light color residue remains, apply Stain Magic® 2-Part Stain Remover and allow dwell time. Stain will disappear as it dries.
  9. Lightly brush or groom to align fibers.
  10. Of course, if the customer has tried to remove it before you arrived or a herd of elephants has walked on the carpet and ground in the material, you are unlikely to remove it all.
