Pepto-Bismol Stain on Carpet - Removal

Pepto Bismol Carpet StainFollow these Steps to Remove Pepto-Bismol® Stain from Carpet or a Rug:

  1. Absorb and scrape up the spilled Pepto-Bismol.
  2. Blot with alcohol
  3. Blot with Citrus APS™ Spotter with agitation.
  4. Blot with Brown Out® (undiluted).
  5. Thoroughly extraction clean the area.
  6. If old, it probably won’t completely come out.
  7. Pepto-Bismol contains Red Dye 22 and Red Dye 28. These dyes are more easily removed by Stain Magic® Stain Remover for Organic and Natural Stains than by Red Relief® 2-Part Color Stain Remover.
  8. To prevent wicking, sprinkle Stain Blotter Anti-Wicking Absorbent Powder on area to absorb any material that wicks up.
  9. The customer can vacuum up the Stain Blotter the next day.
