Laundry Starch on Carpet - How to Remove
Follow these Steps to Remove Laundry Starch from Carpet:
- Blot with alcohol to help thin it and dissolve the starch.
- Blot with Saf-T-Solv™ Dry Volatile Solvent Spotter or Pro-Solve Liquid Liquid Solvent Spotter.
- Extract.
- If extremely heavy, use the Water Claw® Sub-Surface Spot Lifter to more thoroughly flush out the spill.
- Heavily sprinkle Stain Blotter Anti-Wicking Absorbent Powder on area to absorb any material that wicks up.
- The customer can vacuum up the Stain Blotter the next day.
- If these steps do not remove the starch:
- Spray TLS® 2000 Heavy-Duty Carpet Cleaning Prespray / Traffic Lane Spotter at 1:10 with water.
- Agitate.
- Extract.
- Flush with Brown Out® at 2 ounces per gallon to neutralize the high alkalinity from the TLS 2000.
- If stain resist nylon carpet, treat with Sta-Clene®, Bane-Guard™ or Teflon® to restore stain resistance.
