Joint Compound on Carpet Removal
Follow these Steps to Remove Joint Compound from Carpet
Joint compound, also known as drywall mud, is a wet mud-like mixture used to patch holes and seams in drywall. It dries to a hard mass.
- If the joint compound is still wet, allow it to dry on the carpet before attempting to remove it.
- Once dry, break it up by covering with newspaper or cloth and pulverizing the dried joint compound with a hammer.
- Pick up loosened particles and vacuum.
- Scrape up rest with a putty knife.
- Repeat vacuuming.
