Glycerin Spill on Carpet Removal
Follow these Steps to Remove Glycerin from Carpet.
- Glycerin, also spelled Glycerine, is 100% soluble in water and should be easy to remove.
- However, glycerin (glycerol) is hygroscopic (draws moisture) and causes severe resoiling.
- If thick and heavy, blot with a white cloth saturated with alcohol.
- Extraction clean the carpet or rug.
- To prevent wicking, heavily sprinkle Stain Blotter Anti-Wicking Absorbent Powder on area to absorb any material that wicks up.
- The customer can vacuum up the Stain Blotter the next day.
