Gentian Violet Spot & Stain Removal from Carpets and Rugs

Gentian violet is an antiseptic antifungal dye used to treat fungal infections of the skin such as ringworm and athlete's foot. Unfortunately, it SEVERELY STAINS carpet, rugs and upholstery.

Remove Gentian Violet by following these steps:

  1. Absorb liquid spill first with dry white towels.
  2. Blot with white towel soaked with alcohol.
  3. If any remains, blot with APS™ All Purpose Spotter or Perky®.
  4. Flush with water or extract.
  5. Dry blot.
  6. Stain Magic® treatment may be required to bleach out any remaining Gentian Violet stain.
