Epoxy on Carpet - How to Remove
Removing Epoxy from Carpet
If a fresh spill of epoxy and not very heavy:
- Blot with Saf-T-Solv™ Dry Volatile Solvent Spotter.
If the epoxy has dried:
- Blot with acetone or Pro-Solve Liquid Solvent Spotter.
If this fails, the affected carpet section may have to be replaced using the Cookie Cutter Professional Carpet Repair Kit.
Some epoxies can only be removed with acetone, which is toxic, highly flammable and will definitely delaminate the carpet. DO NOT use acetone on acetate fibers!
