- WARNING: Do not use high-pH cleaners or high temperatures on chocolate stains.
- Scrape off excess.
- Absorb any liquid with towels.
- Blot with alcohol on a clean towel to dissolve and liquefy the syrup.
- Mix Pro-Zyme Heavy Soil & Grease Digester according to directions on bottle.
- Apply solution to stained fibers to thoroughly wet fibers.
- Agitate gently but thoroughly to emulsify contamination. Dwell time will help the biochemistry work for you here.
- Hot water extraction rinse the spot leaving carpet as dry as possible(do not use an acid rinsing agent here).
- Apply Stain Blotter Anti-Wicking Absorbent Powder to absorb any wicking that might occur during drying.
- When spot is completely dry, vacuum thoroughly.
- If deposit is heavy enough to have soaked through backing and into pad, replace the contaminated pad and clean carpet backing as outlined above.
- If a visible discoloration remains apply Stain Magic® 2-Part Stain Remover or Stain 1 Stain Remover for Organic and Natural Stains to the discolored fibers.
