Candy (Chocolate) on Carpets and Rugs

Chocolate Candy Spot & Stain Removal from Carpets and Rugs

Procedure to Remove:

  1. IMPORTANT: Do not use high temperature cleaning or heat activated stain removal procedures on chocolate stains.
  2. Scrape up loose candy pieces.
  3. Mix Pro-Zyme Heavy Soil & Grease Digester by Pro’s Choice according to directions on bottle.
  4. Apply solution to stained fibers to thoroughly wet fibers.
  5. Gently but thoroughly agitate fibers to break up and emulsify deposit. Dwell time will help the biochemistry work for you here.
  6. Thoroughly rinse via water extraction leaving carpet as dry as possible (do not use an acid rinsing agent here).
  7. Apply Stain Blotter powder to absorb any wicking that might occur during drying.
  8. When spot is completely dry, vacuum thoroughly.
  9. Also, you may experience wicking on heavier deposits. If deposit is heavy enough to have soaked through backing and into pad, replace the contaminated pad and clean carpet backing.
  10. Wicking can be corrected by using an absorbent powder such as Stain Blotter. Simply cover spot liberally with Stain Blotter following your stain removal process. The wicking will go into the Stain Blotter and can then be vacuumed away when dry.
  11. TIP: Stain 1 Stain Remover for Organic and Natural Stains by Pro’s Choice will make most re-occurring stains disappear.
