On February 4, 1962, William Bane Sr. together with his wife Elizabeth founded a business that would outlast trends, outlast competition, and outlast the test of time. Possessed with a clear-eyed belief that professional cleaners deserved better — better equipment, better chemistry, better support — they launched Bane-Clene Corporation in Indianapolis, Indiana, and set about building the tools that a generation of cleaning professionals didn't yet know they needed.
