Follow These Steps to Remove Milk Stain and Odor from Carpet and Watch the Video Below
- If heavy spill, have customer put down a weighted moist towel overnight to absorb as much as possible.
- Apply Pro-Zyme Heavy Soil & Grease Digester heavily (must get to the pad if it was a heavy spill).
- In extreme cases, replacing contaminated pad may be necessary!
- Gently but thoroughly agitate fibers to break up and emulsify deposit.
- Allow dwell time - at least 30 minutes, overnight if heavy.
- Thoroughly extraction clean with PCA™ Formula 5 leaving carpet as dry as possible (do not use an acid rinsing agent here).
- If extremely heavy, use the Water Claw® Spotter Sub-Surface Spot Lifter to more thoroughly flush out the milk.
- Get as dry as possible.
- To prevent odor development from any trace of milk left behind, apply MediClean Disinfectant Spray® or Sporicidin Disinfectant Solution®.
- To prevent wicking, heavily sprinkle Stain Blotter Anti-Wicking Absorbent Powder on area to absorb any material that wicks up.
- The customer can vacuum up the Stain Blotter the next day.
