Professional Procedure to Remove Chewing Gum from Carpets and Rugs:

  1. Break up the gum with the Carpet Shark Spotting Tool.
  2. Apply a teaspoon of Pro-Solve Gel Spot and Stain Remover directly to gum deposit.
  3. Press the Pro-Solve Gel into gum deposit thoroughly with the Carpet Shark.
  4. Cover deposit with remaining gel.
  5. Allow 10 minutes dwell time.
  6. Scrape gum and Pro-Solve Gel residue from carpet fibers.
  7. Apply Power Gel and work in.
  8. Extraction rinse area.
  9. Never use the “freeze” technique with aerosols. The freeze technique causes severe fiber damage!
  10. To prevent wicking and stickiness, heavily sprinkle Stain Blotter Anti-Wicking Absorbent Powder on area to absorb any material that wicks up.
  11. The customer can vacuum up the Stain Blotter the next day.
