How to Remove Chewing Gum from Carpet
Professional Procedure to Remove Chewing Gum from Carpets and Rugs:
- Break up the gum with the Carpet Shark Spotting Tool.
- Apply a teaspoon of Pro-Solve Gel Spot and Stain Remover directly to gum deposit.
- Press the Pro-Solve Gel into gum deposit thoroughly with the Carpet Shark.
- Cover deposit with remaining gel.
- Allow 10 minutes dwell time.
- Scrape gum and Pro-Solve Gel residue from carpet fibers.
- Apply Power Gel and work in.
- Extraction rinse area.
- Never use the “freeze” technique with aerosols. The freeze technique causes severe fiber damage!
- To prevent wicking and stickiness, heavily sprinkle Stain Blotter Anti-Wicking Absorbent Powder on area to absorb any material that wicks up.
- The customer can vacuum up the Stain Blotter the next day.
