Rock Carpet™ is also known as Quartz™ Carpet

Rock Carpet is a surfacing product ideal for flat surfaces. Its porous structure draws dirt & water away from the surface providing an always clean, safe, slip-free surface.

Rock Carpet is a floor composed of thousands of small quartz stones which is applied seamlessly onto a substrate such as concrete. Because of the combination of natural stone, resins and its porous structure, Rock Carpet always feels warm and is very pleasant to walk on.

Rock Carpet is a hand cast floor system that results in a seamless floor system (no grout). Colors can be side matched or separated with aluminum brass terrazzo divider strips. Rock Carpet is resistant to most common chemicals including most solvents, greases and acids.

Of course, it’s not really “carpet” as we normally think of it.

Care & Maintenance of Rock Carpet or Quartz Carpet:

Rock Carpet is very easy to be cleaned and maintained. The open pores collect dust which is easily vacuumed away. Little accidents with liquids like coffee cannot cause permanent damage to the floor because it is made out of chemical resistant resins such as epoxy and urethane.

A thorough cleaning can be done once every 2 years with an extractor at low pressures and tool designed for stone surfaces.

Recoat about every 5 years for indoor application with Hi-Shine 25 or with sealers specifically designed for use on Rock Carpet or Quartz Carpet - see the local dealer for recommended sealers.

Between weekly cleanings, should it be necessary to remove an unwanted spill - in most cases, the use of a common household floor detergent will dissolve the unwanted spill. Flush the area with water as above and wet vacuum to remove excess moisture.

Avoid using any petroleum solvents to clean Rock Carpet. Do not allow nail polish remover to be used on or around Rock Carpet - if it is spilled, flush thoroughly with water and wet vacuum dry. Also, avoid using strong caustic or powdered cleaning compounds.

Quartz Carpet can also be installed leaving a clear pore-filled top surface that inhibits any dirt or grime penetration between the Quartz granules. This system requires simple mopping and drying. Dirt simply cannot penetrate the tough durable top surface of a pore filled Quartz Carpet installation.
