Blood stain on carpetHow to Remove Blood Stain for Your Carpet or Rug

  1. Blot dry with a dry WHITE absorbent t4owel. Blot with a solution of 2 tablespoons of HOUSEHOLD ammonia per cup of water.
  2. Perky® usually will remove blood and other stains.
  3. If not fully removed, apply household Hydrogen Peroxide (the 3% drugstore variety) to the stain and blot with lukewarm water with a white towel. NOTE: Sometimes the Hydrogen Peroxide will bleach out the carpet fibers. Apply a one-half inch layer of WHITE (no printing) paper towels to the affected area and weight down with a flat heavy object and remove the next day.
  4. If unsuccessful:
    1. Call the Bane-Clene locator service at 1-800-428-9512 (U.S. ONLY!) for a professional in your zip code area.
    2. Or use our Find a Cleaner function to locate a cleaner in your area.
