Cough Syrup

  1. Most cough syrups and other liquid medicines contain an alcohol-soluble food dye.
  2. Blot with alcohol until totally removed.
  3. If extremely heavy, use the Water Claw® Sub-Surface Spot Lifter to more thoroughly flush out the spill.
  4. If stain remains, use Red Relief or Red 1 for red cough syrup and Stain Magic™ for yellow cough syrup.
  5. For extremely difficult stain, you will find that 100% removal can be achieved by using the Energizer Light to increase the reactivity of Stain Magic: Simply wet stain with Stain Magic, cover spot with the Energizer Light, and allow 8 hours dwell time.
  6. To prevent wicking, heavily sprinkle Stain Blotter on area to absorb any material that wicks up.
  7. The customer can vacuum up the Stain Blotter the next day.
