- Scrape up any solid material.
- Extract.
- ONLY If on solution dyed nylon or olefin, apply chlorine bleach diluted 1:5 with water followed by thorough rinsing and dry blotting. Otherwise, use the following procedures.
- If some dye is still present, Stain Magic™ treatment may be required.
- For WET food dyes such as Kool-Aid® and fruit punch on nylon, use Red Relief or Red 1.
- To prevent wicking, heavily sprinkle Stain Blotter on area to absorb any material that wicks up.
- The customer can vacuum up the Stain Blotter the next day.
- For DRY food dyes such as some Easter egg dye powders:
- Thoroughly vacuum up before proceeding with any wet techniques.
- Blot with alcohol until no more dye comes up.
- Blot with cold water.
- Dry blot until no more dye is removed.
