Hair Dye Spot & Stain Removal from Carpets and Rugs

Hair Dye

  1. Apply Power Gel to stain.
  2. Agitate gently but thoroughly to emulsify the spot as much as possible.
  3. Thoroughly rinse clean with hot water extraction.
  4. Leave as dry as possible.
  5. DO NOT apply an oxidizing agent such as peroxide or Stain Magic or a high pH enzyme to hair dye stains. They will only intensify the stain.
  6. If discoloration remains, use Red Relief or Red 1.
  7. Frankly, chances of chemically removing hair dye stain are slim.
  8. If all else fails, use the "Cookie Cutter" to replace the stained area.
