Chalk
  1. Chalk is Calcium Carbonate.
  2. Plumber’s chalk is chalk with an insoluble dye added for visibility.
  3. NOTE: The dyes used in Plumber’s chalk are usually permanent and unaffected even by bleach!
  4. First, thoroughly vacuum.
  5. Chalk is readily soluble in mild acid.
  6. Heavily spray Brown Out® diluted 1 part Brown Out to 2 parts of water onto the chalk, work the solution in with a carpet rake or bone scraper and allow the acid to work on the chalk for at least 15 minutes.
  7. Agitate once again and extract thoroughly.
  8. If any stain from plumber’s chalk is left, blot with alcohol.
  9. If the stain is still not removed, use Stain Magic™.
