Ball Point Ink Pen
and
Stamp Pad Ink
Spot & Stain
Removal

from Bane-Clene®

  • This problem is nearly always from the same source - a dog chews up a ball point pen and creates a mess on the carpet!
  • Ball point ink is extremely concentrated - a little goes a LONG way.
  • Simply blotting with a solvent such as Saf-T-Solv™ or alcohol will simply make the spot larger and force the ink into the backing and make quite a mess.
  • Instead, use Ink Out.
  • Procedure for upholstery:
    1. Apply Stain Magic™ liberally to ink stain and areas 1” around stain.
    2. Apply Ink Out to ink stain. This will remove stain color.
    3. Agitate gently but thoroughly with bone scraper or Carpet Shark until ink has dissolved.
    4. Re-apply Stain Magic.
    5. Thoroughly hot water extraction rinse.
    6. If stain color remains:
      • Re-apply Stain Magic solution.
      • Cover with damp towel.
      • Heat with steam iron for 15 seconds (very risky).
    7. To prevent wicking, heavily sprinkle Stain Blotter on area to absorb any material that wicks up.
    8. The customer can vacuum up the Stain Blotter the next day.
  • Procedure for carpet:
    1. Apply Pro-Solv Gel to ink deposit.
    2. Agitate gently but thoroughly until deposit is dissolved.
    3. Apply Power-Gel to deposit and agitate.
    4. Thoroughly hot water extraction rinse.
    5. Re-apply Stain Magic solution.
    6. Cover with damp towel.
    7. Heat with steam iron for 15 seconds (very risky).
