Loss of vacuum

Probable Cause Solution
Vacuum relief valve releasing early. Tighten valve nut.
Tank drain valve open. Close.
Vacuum pump dirty. Flush out vacuum pump.
Leak at tank access door. Replace gasket.
Vacuum hose split or disconnected. Repair or connect.
Drive belt slipping. Tighten or replace.
Pulley slipping. Tighten set screw.

Seizure of vacuum pump.

Probable Cause Solution
Debris lodged in pump impellers. Call Bane-Clene.

Vacuum pump noisy or knocking

Probable Cause Solution
Oil level low and/or lack of grease. Change grease and/or replace oil.
Pump timing is off. Call Bane-Clene.

Loss of oil.

Probable Cause Solution
Loose drain and/or oil level plug. Tighten.
Defective gear case gasket. Replace.

Lack of solution pressure at gauge.

Probable Cause Solution
Solution strainer dirty. Clean filters.
In-line filter dirty. Clean filters.
Air lock in line. Bleed line.
Frozen line or pump. Thaw in warm area.
Damaged stator. Replace.

Lack of solution pressure at cleaning head.

Probable Cause Solution
Tips or filter dirty. Clean filters or tips.
Valve stem worn. Replace.
Female coupler dirty or worn. Clean, repair or replace.

Solution pump leaking.

Probable Cause Solution
Damaged mechanical seal. Call Bane-Clene.

Probable Cause Solution
Blown fuse or circuit breaker. Switch wall receptacle.
Short in power supply cord. Repair or replace.
Short in electrical components. Call Bane-Clene.

Machine blows fuse or circuit breaker.

Probable Cause Solution
Dirty vacuum pump. Flush vacuum pump.
Extension cord too light. Use 12-gauge wire.
Relief valve malfunction. Repair or replace.
Loose belt or pulley. Tighten or replace.
Electrical short. Call Bane-Clene.
