Why Are You In the Carpet Cleaning Business?
The owner of an advertising agency did a survey to determine better ways to serve clients. He polled all types of businesses from small service companies to large department stores and even multi-store operations. This question was asked of the owner or manager of each company; "Why are you in business?" It was amazing how many answered, "To make money." Without exception, the most successful companies that were surveyed were headed by people who answered that question, "To be the best in our industry." Believing in your concepts and providing the energy for your company is required to be number one in your industry. Genuine believers strive to make sure that everything about their company is first class. They make a plan and then they make that plan happen because of their drive and pride in what they do. They do all of the things that are necessary to put their company on top because they know that those are the right things to do and they are confident that those things will work. A by-product of being the best in your field means you will make more money and enjoy it more over a longer period of time than those competitors who are in the business simply "to make money." |
