Does carpet cleaning have a future?
It's no secret that carpet is losing market share. But, from a cleaner's perspective, the market for service is still good because the carpet industry has been pumping out billions of square feet of product every year for many years.
The average life of carpet is eight to ten years and many of the residential carpets we work on are twice that age. The commercial carpet market continues to grow, so the foreseeable future for the cleaning industry is bright. There are hundreds of millions of square feet of carpet out there just waiting to be cleaned. We can clean area rugs and hard floors, too!
