Water Claw®
Flood Tool
from Bane-Clene®
Designed for quick and easy flood extraction without
removing carpet and pad. Works on all types of carpet with pad, including
cut pile, looped/berber, and glue-down.
Even in black water floods, the Water Claw Flood Tool
helps you by removing more water to easily remove carpet and pad.
The Water Claw Flood Tool, combined with drying processes
that leave the carpet and pad intact, translate into significantly greater
year-end profits.
NOTE: Does not offer any advantage in water extraction
where there is no pad under the carpet and will not extract water from
old-fashioned orange waffle pad. On high looped berbers, use the smaller
tool.
Vacuum tube is made of Lexan for durability and will
accept a 1" hose cuff inside and 2" hose cuff outside.
The adjustable, waist-high handle easily detaches from
tool for storage.
The Water Claw reaches all the way into corners and
along wall edges for quick and thorough extraction results.
Comes in three sizes: Small: 8" x 14", Medium:
10" x 17", Large: 12" x 21".
The large size is intended for maximum extraction
speed on jobs covering large areas.
The medium size is needed by more active restoration
companies when doing berber style carpet.
The small size is for work in confined areas and for
use with portables.

A typical 300 square foot area of flooded carpet and
pad can be deflooded with the medium-sized tool in less than 30 minutes.
How Does the Water Claw Work?
|
The purpose for standing on the Water Claw is not to "squash" the carpet and pad to release water, but simply to facilitate a tight seal between the tool and the face fibers.
|
|
The water seal against the bottom plate causes a restriction in airflow, which maximizes existing suction capabilities inside the Water Claw suction manifold. This increased suction not only wants to replace its negative atmosphere by drawing water into the vacum chamber, but because of the several holes placed against the saturated surface, your vacuum's "sub-surface" flood lifting power is supercharged in the same way lifting force is multiplied with a pulley system.
|
|
Because the Water Claw is not limited to sucking water off the top side of carpet only, there is no need to use heavy weights concentrated onto a small area for extraction results. The Water Claw operator can be assured that there is no threat of damaging backing in its vulnerable wet state or forcing water through wood sub-flooring.
