Red 1 is a one-part system formulated especially
for removing food and drink stains such as Kool-Aid®, fruit
punch, candy, cough syrup, Gatorade®, and other products
containing food and beverage dyes.
Red 1 is also effective on other stains such as
iodine, Betadine®, Play-Doh®, and lipstick.
The system combines two powerful stain-removing solutions that attack
food dyes and other stains, breaking them down for easy removal during
extraction.
We strongly suggest that you practice on some carpet
scraps to develop the technique before using the product and technique
on a customer’s carpet.
Directions:
- Shake well before using.
- Prespray all food-dye stains with Red1 prior to your cleaning set up.
- Perform your cleaning procedures.
- Most, if not all your stains will be gone depending on dwell time and temperature.
- Any stains that remain may require heat activation.
- Reapply Red 1.
- Cover wet terry cloth towel.
- Apply steam heat from an iron or steamer in 15-second increments.
- Reapply Red 1 and use fresh section of the towel after each heat application.
- When stain is gone or light yellow, extraction rinse spot.
- Excessive heat can cause color loss.
- For natural fibers, dilute Red 1 with equal parts water.
If a heavy spill, use Stain Blotter to prevent wicking.
- IMPORTANT: Red Relief is not self-neutralizing and MUST be rinsed from carpet after treatment. Always test an inconspicuous area before using.
Use Concentration: Mixed, Undiluted.
Shelf-life unmixed: 1 year.
