Haitian Cotton Cleaner
from Bane-Clene®
Haitian Cotton is a fabric made entirely of short staple cotton fiber. The fibers are not thoroughly processed, leaving contaminants such as cottonseeds in the yarn. The seeds and other contaminants readily bleed during wet cleaning resulting in a brown stain that is very difficult to remove.
A unique non-ionic acidic low-foaming detergent formulation designed specifically to clean Haitian and raw cotton upholstery fabrics using extraction.
Directions:
- Mix 4 ounces in 1 gallon of warm water.
- Test fabric for colorfastness or dye color change.
- Heavily soiled areas can be pre-sprayed with undiluted Heavy Duty Soil Lifter and then toweled off.
- Clean using standard industry accepted cleaning techniques for extraction equipment allowing the vacuum system to lift the fabric and circulate air through it.
- If used on other than raw cotton fabric, use 1 scoop per gallon of water.
- Note:The above procedures can be used for correcting Haitian and raw cotton fabric which has previously browned.
- Important: Some Haitian and raw cotton fabrics may be manufactured with a water-soluble latex backing. Some backings may be affected during cleaning with this product causing a "latex browning." Inspect latex prior to cleaning.
Use Concentration: 4 ounces to 1 gallon water.
Use pH: 5.5 – 6.5
