Descaler for Carpet Cleaning Truck-mounts

Powdered formulation. Inhibitor helps protect steel components.

Directions for Removing Hard Water Scale from Truckmounted Carpet Cleaning Machines' Clean Water Tank:

  1. Completely empty solution tank and reheat to 180 degrees F.
  2. Fill up the solution tank with plain hot water and heat to 180 degrees F.
  3. Pre-dissolve 2 lbs Descaler by slowly sprinkling while stirring into a 5-gallon pail. 5 lbs may be required for severe scale formation.
  4. Add to solution tank.
  5. Drive the truck for at least one mile to allow the solution to "slosh" around in the tank and loosen the scale.
  6. Drain solution.
  7. Rinse tank with water.
  8. Fill tank with water and add detergent solution to neutralize the acid.
  9. Circulate cleaning solution at least 5 minutes to ensure complete neutralization of the acid.
  10. Flush out the solution tank and recharge with your normal cleaning solution.
  11. More than one descaling operation may be needed in severe cases.
